We Belong Here Miami 2027

Three days of house and dance music on the sand at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, minutes from downtown Miami

February 26–28, 2027

Venue: Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, 4020 Virginia Beach Dr, Miami, FL, 33149, Miami, FL

Is We Belong Here Miami Worth the Trip?

We Belong Here is the dance festival for people who want the beach and the music at the same time. It takes over Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, a barrier-island beach a few minutes from downtown Miami across the Rickenbacker Causeway, for three days at the end of February, a month before Miami Music Week. There are no giant LED walls. The main 360 Stage puts the DJ in the middle of the dance floor, the Beach Stage is on the sand, and Lost Village is the tucked-away one.

2027 is its sixth year here. The 2026 edition was the first to run three full days, with Chris Lake, Tiësto, Gorgon City, Lane 8, Kaskade (Redux) and Elderbrook, and headliners playing long sets of two hours or more, including three-hour sunset slots. The 2027 lineup hasn't been announced yet.

Insider tip: the cheapest 3-day pass requires you to arrive within the first hour of doors. That's a fine deal if you're there for the full day anyway, but if you want to sleep in, Gold is the pass to buy.

Best For

House and melodic house fans who'd rather dance in the sun than under screens. Anyone who wants a February beach weekend in Miami with the music built in. Groups who can split a table section or a South Beach room.

Less ideal for

Anyone under 21. Anyone who hates sand in their shoes, because it's a beach. And anyone after a pyrotechnics-and-screens kind of show: this one is about the floor and the sunset.

Where to Stay

Virginia Key is a small island between downtown Miami and Key Biscayne, with no hotels near the park. Everyone stays on the mainland or on Miami Beach and comes in over the Rickenbacker Causeway, so pick a base based on how you're getting there each day.

  • Brickell (closest). Miami's financial district sits right at the foot of the Rickenbacker Causeway, making it the shortest ride to the park. It's also full of high-rise hotels, rooftop bars and restaurants.
  • Downtown and Midtown. A little further, with more hotel choice. The festival has run round-trip shuttles from Midtown in past years, and says shuttle packages for 2027 are coming.
  • South Beach (the official hotel). The festival's hotel partner is the Moxy South Beach, from $399 a night, with a care package, beach chairs and a welcome happy hour if you register your booking with the festival. South Beach is further from Virginia Key, but it's had a festival shuttle in the past and it's the classic Miami trip.
  • Key Biscayne (the quiet option). Past the park on the same causeway, with resort hotels and beaches. Close to the festival, far from nightlife.

Late February is peak season in Miami and the festival lands a month before Miami Music Week, so rooms go early. Tickets are non-refundable, so pair them with a room you can cancel if needed.

Getting There

Flying in: Miami International (MIA) is about 20 minutes from the park. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL) is about 45 to 60 minutes north and can be cheaper.

To the park: the rideshare address is 4020 Virginia Beach Dr. Parking is limited to two lots: one at the park next to the entrance, and one on Arthur Lamb Jr. Road, about a 20-minute walk away. Pre-purchased parking and shuttle packages are being added closer to the date, and the festival is gauging interest in water shuttles. Private boat arrival is only for table guests.

Insider tip: the Rickenbacker Causeway is the only road onto Virginia Key, so leaving at the end of the night is slow for everyone. A shuttle package, or a plan to wait out the first rush, beats sitting in a rideshare queue.

Where to Eat

Inside, the festival works with restaurant concepts and vendors (it's partnered with Smorgasburg in the past). Outside, Brickell and Midtown have the most range, and South Beach is the move for a late dinner after a beach day. Bring an empty reusable bottle: water stations inside are free.

About Virginia Key Beach

Historic Virginia Key Beach Park has real history. It opened in 1945 as Miami's beach for Black residents during segregation, and it's now a protected historic park. We Belong Here has made it its home since its first Miami edition. Part of the appeal is how removed it feels: a beachfront island setting with the city skyline in the distance.

Which Pass?

Early-arrival 3-day ($199.99) is the cheapest way in, but you need to arrive within the first hour of doors. Gold ($239.99) is the standard pass with no arrival window. Platinum ($339.99) adds upgraded perks and exclusive amenities. Every pass includes free water, lounges and air-conditioned restroom trailers. Payment plans through Affirm are available at checkout. Single-day tickets come after the lineup, and groups of up to 12 can reserve a private elevated table section.

Where the Money Goes

Every ticket helps fund music education for K-12 students in Miami, through a partnership with the University of Miami Frost School of Music. For 2027, that funds new elementary choral and string programs as part of a K-12 arts pathway that starts at a Title 1 elementary school. The 2026 edition also ended with a volunteer beach cleanup.
